A ground-breaking show exploring some new stories from history – stories that help us to separate fact from fiction and history from myth. Sharon was commissioned to direct a short film entitled ‘Olaudah Equiano: extracts from ‘The Interesting Narrative’ performed by actor Jyuddah Jaymes. Working alongside Leah Kharibian this work was part of the supporting interpretation for the exhibition.  

Historic works are shown alongside modern and contemporary works by artists including Donald Locke, Alberta Whittle and Keith Piper that challenge and reflect on hidden and untold stories.

Black Atlantic: People, Power, Resistance is the first in a series of exhibitions and gallery interventions planned for 2023-2026.
